Effective Consumable Solution’s Lauren Rabbitte to speak at ESS Environmental Services & Solutions Expo
Lauren will sit alongside other experts from the industry in the RWM Circular Economy Theatre to discuss the headlining topic “Circular by Design: Rethinking Products, Systems and Impact”.
Joining Lauren on the panel of speakers will be Marcus Gover (ESS), Mohammed Patel (UKFT), Tim Walker (CIWM) and Zoë Lenkiewicz (Global Waste Lab).
The team of experts will be discussing the following topics:
- What true circular design looks like – beyond just swapping materials
- The practical challenges of designing for disassembly, mono-materials and longevity
- The tension between design intent and manufacturing constraints
- How regulations like the ESPR and Digital Product Passports will reshape product development
- The role of collaboration – between designers, recyclers, brands and technologists – in scaling solutions
Lauren will be aspiring to promote meaningful change, not just at product level, but across the industry’s entire ecosystem, particularly where remanufacturing and recycling are concerned.
Upon her announcement as a guest speaker Lauren said “I am absolutely delighted to be invited back as a guest speaker at this year’s ESS Expo for the second consecutive year. It’s an incredible opportunity to engage and collaborate with like-minded leaders across a variety of industries. This year, I look forward to diving deeper into the critical interdependence between recycling and remanufacturing. These processes are not just complementary but fundamentally rely on each other to drive sustainable resource management. Additionally, achieving complete circularity is essential for the future of our industry; that means not only recycling materials but also creatively finding valuable uses for components and materials that cannot be traditionally recycled.”
Lauren added “Moreover, I am excited to discuss how high-quality remanufacturing processes play a vital role in extending product longevity. By maintaining rigorous standards and embracing innovation, remanufacturing can enable multiple cycles of reuse, thereby reducing waste and conserving valuable resources. I hope to inspire collaborative thinking and encourage practical solutions that propel us all toward a more sustainable and circular future.”
You can catch Lauren at the ESS Expo, RWM Circular Economy Theatre, NEC Birmingham on September 18th between 11.30 and 12.15PM!
