TC Group appoints Tim Carr as Chair as it moves from recovery to growth
Bristol, 1 October 2026: TC Group has appointed Tim Carr as Non-Executive Chair, effective 1 October 2026, with the backing of its shareholders.
Tim will lead the Board and oversee a refresh of the Group’s three-year strategic plan, grounded in a clearly defined purpose and values. His priorities also include strengthening risk oversight, Board evaluation and reporting to shareholders, lenders and colleagues.
Shareholders Dan and Georgie Wooler and Polly Webb said: “As TC Group has grown, we wanted an experienced Chair to bring greater structure to how we plan and make decisions. Tim has the credibility and track record to do that, and we trust him to lead the Board.”
Dan Wooler continues to lead the business as Group CEO, supported by a Board strengthened over the past year. Andrew Bowen joined as Operations Director in May, Dave Edkins as Group Finance Director in September, and Darren Campbell, Edit Office’s Sales Director, joined following the acquisition. Alex Worswick’s role as Product and Brand Director has expanded, while Georgie Wooler remains on the Board as shareholder director. Responsibilities are now clearly allocated across the team. Gavin Howard has also joined as Advisor to the Board, bringing more than 20 years’ experience as a COO in the financial services industry.
Over the past 18 months, TC Group has increased adjusted EBITDA to £1.6m in the five months to September 2026, compared with £0.5m in the same period last year; secured £16m of new funding facilities with HSBC; and acquired Edit Office in March 2026, which now contributes more than 45% of Group revenue.
The enlarged Group has pro forma annualised revenue of more than £60m and employs 150 people across the UK, Ireland, Poland and China.
Dan Wooler, Group CEO, said: “Tim already knows this business, its lenders and its numbers. As Chair he will lead a stronger Board and hold us to account for delivery as we integrate Edit Office and pursue further significant growth, including acquisitions.”
Tim is a CIMA-qualified accountant with 25 years’ board-level experience as a CFO and CEO, including leading more than 30 acquisitions and disposals. He has worked with TC Group since February 2025 through his firm, Tide Advisory, initially providing outsourced finance leadership and supporting the Group’s banking relationships, funding and acquisition of Edit Office.
Tide Advisory continues to support the executive team on defined strategic projects under a separate agreement approved by shareholders. Tim has declared his interest to the Board and takes no part in Board decisions relating to that agreement.
Tim Carr said: “TC Group has a strong platform and a clear ambition. My job is to make sure the Board is as good as the business: clear on strategy, rigorous on performance and open with shareholders and lenders. I look forward to working with Dan, the shareholders, the Board and the whole team to deliver that growth.”
