The objectives of the Policy & Public Affairs Committee which is a joint initiative of the BPIF (our partner) and BOSS are:
- Policy – To liaise with the wider BPIF and BOSS memberships to develop and make decisions/positions on policy matters affecting the print and business supplies industries.
- Public Affairs – To communicate policy positions and, more widely, the interests of the membership of BPIF and BOSS Federation to Government, Parliament and other external decision-makers. Public affairs work may be reactive in response to external announcements and decisions or proactive in line with the Federation’s public affairs priorities.
To support the above, the Committee will also undertake:
- Member communications – to inform the membership of upcoming external policy and legislative decisions which may affect their businesses, and to keep them apprised of the outcome of the Federation’s public affairs activities.
- Stakeholder communications – working closely with networks and bodies of which we are a member, for example the Graphics and Print Media Alliance, Intergraf, the Confederation of British Industry, Make UK and FINAT.
