What is the workshop about?
For many people, business accounting and finance is not a captivating subject and can be a source of frustration. Whether it’s the jargon that is thrown around, a lack of training or colleagues not explaining things clearly (or too quickly), it can often lead to an unforgiving self-judgement of “I should know this”.
This workshop, hosted by our partner BPIF, has been designed to cover all the basics that you are likely to need. It also will help to build your self-confidence in a subject which can sometimes be made to seem more complicated than it really is.
Although you may not think it will be possible, you will leave the workshop having completed a cash flow forecast, profit and loss account and balance sheet. You will leave confident in knowing the meaning of a range of confusing terms e.g. mark-up, margin etc.. and acronyms such as EBIT, PBIT, COGS, EBITDA etc…
You will also be given free access to further self-help resources and short courses that you can explore in your own time.
