Why apprenticeships work
We are proud to be supporting National Apprenticeship Week 2018 and currently have a number of apprentices on programmes.
To celebrate this, and the wide variety of different and interesting apprenticeships available, we've spoken to several of our apprentices to get their take on why apprenticeships work!
Could your business benefit from an apprentice?
Maddy Bishop, Sales Office Manager, Bishops
"The benefits of doing an apprenticeship are you learn whilst working, this allows me to make changes to the way I work and approach situations immediately which benefits my career progression and the business straight away. I am also able to use current work projects as part of my coursework allowing me to ask the tutors questions and get valuable advice at the time of the issue and not on reflection. I would highly recommend the BPIF and BOSS apprenticeship programmes. I have already learned a tremendous amount about myself and the way I work. The back-up support, advice and guidance from the tutors and everyone involved at BOSS and BPIF has been invaluable."
Kyle Partridge, National Account Manager, Pentel
"I was delighted to have the opportunity to enrol on the ILM level 5 Leadership and Management Course. With the full support of my employer, Pentel Stationery Ltd, I have embarked on an in-depth, specific and enjoyable qualification that is completely manageable alongside my working week, benefitting both myself and the business. Whether you want to use the qualification to advance your career or to provide yourself with greater knowledge, understanding and skills to complete your current role, I highly recommend considering the option of enrolling on such a course."
Mia Trangmar, Regional Director - South, VOW Europe
"Having studied the Level 5 BPIF ILM Leadership Management Programme, I can confirm it was of great interest as it educated and trained me on the key skills and knowledge relating to my leadership and management effectiveness. The course culminated with a formal, recognisable qualification and I found that throughout the duration of the programme the skills and knowledge gained were useful, appropriate and of huge value. The programme inspired me to raise my profile and make myself more relevant to the business I am in. This course covers so many different areas, challenged my current management style, introduced me to new techniques and deepened my understanding of how to manage effectively."
