Urgent government request - we need your input for energy support

We have been contacted today by the Government Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) with the requirement that businesses in our industry complete the Government Survey below to support their information gathering.

Responses to the Government survey will help inform and shape the review of the Energy Bill Relief Scheme which will determine what businesses and industries are given ‘vulnerable status' and therefore may be entitled to further support after the initial 6 months support which currently ends on the 31st March.

This request is urgent, the questionnaire will close at 23.55hrs on Monday 24th October.

BEIS have advised that "The wider evidence base we have, the more likely it will be that sectors will be considered for support," so we need as many organisations to respond as possible. The information that BOSS have gathered over the last few months shows clearly the impact on companies of the huge energy price increases, and the importance of mitigating government action - we need your help to make that point to Government.

Please note

When responding you will be required to enter your company registration number, the Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code for the industry you operate in, and a description of the industry your organisation operates in.

Many BOSS members' SIC code will start with 46/47 (a drop-down selection menu is provided). We advise, where possible, that BOSS members enter "Business Supplies" in the industry description.
