Strong B2B volumes in November calm post-Brexit nerves, while retail price increases may be dampening demand
While always dangerous to look at one month in isolation, November's GfK Panelmarket figures showed such stellar demand in the B2B sector of the industry, if you are in B2B it is worth pausing to reflect whether you have enjoyed the uplift. Hopefully your figures are reflective of the same strong demand felt by the panel, with pieces up by 19% by volume over November 2015 although being sold at nearly 8% less.
Retail couldn't be a more contrasting picture with piece prices up by 12% possibly leading to a drop-in demand with volumes down by 7.5%.
Overall sales in the market have fallen by 3% in the last 12 months, an improvement over recent trends boosted by November's strong B2B figures. To compare your figures with the monthly GfK analysis, please click here to download the latest figures and to read the full report.
