Sales and output rebound with strong growth in Q4
The latest BOSS Outlook survey was carried out during 20 January - 4 February 2015 and received responses from companies with a combined turnover of £0.4billion. The Q1 report found that the state of trade continues to be reported as positive; much more so than the dip recorded in the previous quarter.
However, respondents appear to feel slightly less confident for Q1 2015, with only 36% expecting there to be a further improvement (but none fearing a decline and 64% predicting that it will stay the same). It should be noted that positive conditions which are expected to 'stay the same' will remain positive, so it can be concluded that the outlook for Q1 is indeed generally encouraging.
'Access to Skilled Staff', 'Competitor Pricing' and 'Survival of Major Customers' remain the top three business concerns, unchanged from previous quarters.
