Redundancy rules are changing - we need your input
Currently, employers must undertake collective consultation where 20 or more redundancies are proposed at a single site within a 90-day period.
Under the new framework, the Government plans to introduce thresholds that apply across multiple sites, meaning employers with several locations may need to monitor redundancy numbers organisation-wide.
We’d really value your insight and practical experience.
If you have experience of collective redundancy consultations, please let us know:
- How effective are collective redundancy consultations at preventing or reducing redundancies?
- Are they a significant administrative or operational burden for employers?
If you operate across multiple sites:
- How easy would it be to monitor redundancy numbers organisation-wide?
- What threshold number or percentage would feel workable and proportionate?
