OP Industry Celebrates at Stationers' Innovation Excellence Awards
The Stationers' 2014 Innovation Excellence Awards took place on Monday 30 June in London, recognising companies that are driving innovation within the Communications and Content sector.
The UK Communication and Content sector has evolved from writing on paper, to the printing of books and newspapers and now includes the world of digital content and media.
The Awards were presented at a luncheon at the historic Stationers' Hall, with 25 nominated companies invited to the event.
Among the winners from the day were Banner Business Services, whose Closed Loop initiative for recycled paper has gone from strength to strength. Richard Costin, MD at Banner, said, "I'm delighted to accept the Stationers' 2014 Innovation Excellence Award for our Closed Loop paper recycling service. We're a forward-thinking company, and this is a fantastic achievement for the Banner team and our supply chain."
The overall winner from the day, taking home the Stationers' Innovator of the Year 2014 prize, was The Ryedale Group, who specialise in plastic printing. Having developed a means of litho printing electronic circuitry onto plastic using conductive inks, their technology has the potential to be hugely influential in print, electronics, and manufacturing.
