Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

2016 has been a year of massive change and disruption in both business and social environments. Predicting outcomes has become challenging even for the professionals.

And I'm not one of those professionals! All I know is that I feel strongly that our industry will continue to adapt and transform and collaboration between us will be even more important in building our future competitiveness.

And as we spend time with our loved ones over the festive season, spare a thought for the lonely, the poor, those affected by the terrible human tragedies occurring right now in Syria and Yemen and other disaster areas across the world and please take a moment to consider how lucky we are to live and work in this country.

2017 will I believe continue to see the vast majority of us continuing to be both tolerant and prosperous and I'm looking forward to it enormously.

We might even enjoy the benefits of industry wide inflation!
