Effective Consumable Solutions and The Greener Side Become Signatories of Circularity in Practice Initiative

Leading print consumables and recycling specialists reaffirm commitment to sustainable business practices through King's Circularity in Practice pledge.

Effective Consumable Solutions (ECS) and its recycling scheme, The Greener Side, have announced that they have become official signatories of the Circularity in Practice initiative, inspired by His Majesty King Charles III and supported by the British Chambers of Commerce.

The initiative encourages businesses across the UK to adopt practical circular economy principles, helping organisations move beyond the traditional linear model of "take, make, dispose" and towards approaches that prioritise reuse, recycling, resource efficiency, and waste reduction.

For ECS and The Greener Side, the commitment aligns closely with their long-standing mission of helping print businesses and organisations reduce environmental impact through responsible consumables management and recycling solutions.

The print industry continues to face increasing pressure to improve sustainability performance, reduce waste, and demonstrate measurable environmental responsibility. By becoming signatories to Circularity in Practice, ECS and The Greener Side are strengthening their commitment to supporting customers on their sustainability journeys while promoting practical circular solutions throughout the sector.

Commenting on the announcement, Lauren Rabbitte, Associate Director at Effective Consumable Solutions, said:

"Sustainability has always been central to our business and to the services we provide our customers. Signing the Circularity in Practice pledge reinforces our commitment to helping organisations reduce waste, maximise the value of resources, and implement practical circular economy principles. We are proud to join a growing community of businesses taking meaningful action to create a more sustainable future."

Through The Greener Side recycling scheme, ECS works with organisations throughout the UK to divert consumables from landfill, recover valuable materials, and support environmentally responsible disposal and recycling processes. The company's services help customers reduce their environmental footprint while meeting increasingly stringent sustainability objectives.

The Circularity in Practice initiative seeks to inspire businesses of all sizes to embed circular thinking into everyday operations and demonstrate leadership in environmental stewardship. ECS and The Greener Side believe collaboration across the supply chain will be critical in achieving meaningful progress towards a more sustainable and resource-efficient future.

As signatories, both organisations will continue to champion practical sustainability initiatives, support customers in achieving their environmental goals, and contribute to wider efforts to accelerate circular economy adoption across the print and consumables sectors.
