Dominic De Luca Appointed evo Chairman

evo is pleased to announce the appointment of Dominic De Luca as the new evo Group Chairman.

Dominic is currently the Senior Director and co-Managing Director of Premier Vanguard. Dominic has over 40 years of experience in the industry, and has led the Premier Vanguard business from a family-run business, through a strategic merger with Premier rolls and ultimately through an acquisition with evo and to even greater success in nearly 6 years that have followed.

Nick Kirkham, current co-Managing Director of Premier Vanguard, will now lead that business, with support from Emma Medley and Scott Overend as his sales directors. Dominic will chair the Premier Vanguard board.

Andrew Gale, evo CEO and Majority Shareholder commented:

Since the MBO in March, I have been conscious of the requirement to reconstitute the evo Board following the exit of Endless. This has led me to think quite hard about what I want from a Chairman, and indeed the wider Board.

In terms of the Chairman role, I want someone with grit, integrity, a wise counsel, but somebody who has demonstrated business experience. Dominic passes all these tests. Having worked with Dominic since Premier Vanguard joined the evo family, we have developed a strong working relationship.

Now is the right time for Dominic to step up to Chair the full evo Board. I wanted a Chairman who is really bought in to the mission at evo. So, I am delighted Dominic has accepted the challenge.

Dominic De Luca Commented:

I am very pleased to be offered this role, and I look forward to working with Andrew and the wider evo team. In taking this role, I will be taking a measured step away from Premier Vanguard, which provides the opportunity for Nick Kirkham to lead, supported by Emma Medley and Scott Overend, as his Sales Directors.

 Andrew Gale noted:

The changes in the leadership at Premier Vanguard are a natural progression. Nick, Emma and Scott the next generation of leaders and I am excited to see them put their mark on Premier Vanguard.

Headquartered in Normanton, the evo group is made up of 6 different brands, generating in excess of £500m of sales and employing 2,000 people. It provides sourcing, storage, specialist and value-added fulfilment services to resellers, consumers, large public sector bodies and corporate organisations and offers the full range of business-critical supplies from hygiene essentials, facility supplies, paper, furniture and technology.

In March, evo CEO Andrew Gale led a successful management buyout and secured a £93m financing package to allow an exit for the private equity firm Endless.
