BOSS Members' Day - 3 June 2015

The BOSS Federation (in many different guises) will be 110 years old this year and we would like you to celebrate with us.

The BOSS Federation (in many different guises) will be 110 years old this year and we would like you to celebrate with us.

It started as SPATA (the Stationers Proprietary Articles Trade Association) in 1905 as a cartel to fight price cutting and establish a stable, orderly market. A published list of propriety products and their prices became sacrosanct and if anyone cut prices or supplied known price cutters they were put on a stop list and supplies cut off. Not so today with Anti Competition legislation and SSP and RSP and discounting the norm in the Industry. This lasted until the 1960s and was legally supported in those days - The good old times.

SPATA became the Stationers Association in 1912 later adding the words "Great Britain and Ireland".

BOSS now stands for "the British Office Supplies and Services Federation" and has had to change dramatically in recents year as the demands of the industry have changed.

All members are invited to attend the BOSS AGM and BOSS Members day to be held at Stationers' Hall on 3 June 2015.

This is an excellent networking opportunity to meet CEOs and MDs from every part of the supply chain, to discuss the issues challenging the industry today and to explore collaborative solutions to reduce cost and improve bottom line profitability.

The day will start with a CEO conference (by invitation only).

This will be followed by the Chairmans' lunch, BOSS AGM and an afternoon of networking.
