It's that time of year again for some 120 trekkers to battle the British elements and climb an array of mountain peaks in the Lake District (with many of the stronger groups attempting High Street from several different angles) in aid of the Institute of Cancer Research. Organised by BOSS Benevolent Fund Chairman and Mountaineer Extraordinaire, Graeme Chapman MBE, the Climb of Life is now in its 27th year and hopes to beat last year's total amount raised of £81,380.

Graeme Chapman comments, "It's pretty amazing after years of persuading people to drag themselves up mountains in the cold (and maybe snow) in darkest November, they still want to keep doing it and in ever increasing numbers! I'm told it's a British thing to want to find a real challenge out of our comfort zone to help and support a brilliant cause that affects each and every one of us in one way or another. It's not easy to find new ways to thank everyone for their amazing support year after year, so thank you all!"
