Advantia Dealer Day Champions Growth, Community, and Diversification
Advantia Business Solutions held a successful dealer day last week, hosted by Exertis Supplies in Elland. The theme for the day was Diversify – Diversi-FLY and was all about helping members take that next step with confidence, whether that’s tapping into growing sectors, understanding emerging trends, or simply knowing how to start the right conversation with customers.
Members of the Exertis Supplies Management Team gave engaging presentations showcasing the growth in the business, Exertis’s very impressive fulfilment rates, their focus on employee wellbeing & development, and their exciting plans for the future. Steve Carter, Advantia’s MD gave an update on the office products market and the great opportunities dealers have to diversify. The dealers then had the opportunity to engage in conversation with several key suppliers who were selected for the opportunities they provide for diversification. They were also taken on a tour to see and experience the highly impressive Exertis Supplies warehouse operation.
The fish and chip van provided an enjoyable treat at lunchtime, and a great opportunity for networking and conversation in the Exertis picnic area. The day ended with an entertaining social evening in a Sports Bar, with Advantia Dealers, suppliers and Exertis Supplies sales, customer service and purchasing teams all coming together to enjoy a great, and at times competitive, evening of pool, shuffle board and table football.
Suppliers feedback has been incredibly enthusiastic. Richard Smithers of Victor Stationery said ‘We’ve loved sharing what’s worked, what’s growing in education and how to get started with RHINO Stationery in new and exciting areas beyond the traditional core. We certainly found it to be a very productive day with many engaging conversations.’ Dave Vann of Exertis Supplies said ‘The quality of the engagement and the interest from the members was something suppliers really enjoyed and took much value from. More than one was at pains to stress just how good that engagement was. Glad we could all contribute to a really positive event.’
The Advantia Dealers appreciated the opportunity to learn, not only from suppliers, but from each other. Simon from Caswells reflected on just how much he had gained from the day and Rebecca from Keeley Travis summed it up when she said ‘Joining the Advantia Business Solutions dealer group is more than just a business decision – it’s about being part of a community that truly looks after its members.
