International Paper, a global leader in fibre-based packaging, pulp and paper, is delighted to be continuing with its HP Office ‘Pink Ream’ campaign in 2020 in partnership with Think Pink Europe, which brings together national breast cancer initiatives across the continent.

This will be the 4th consecutive year for the HP Office Pink Ream, following a successful on-going campaign which has raised over €400k across Europe.

In the UK, breast cancer is the most common form of cancer, with one woman diagnosed every 10 minutes and around 58,000 people diagnosed with breast cancer every year.  Thankfully, almost two-thirds of women diagnosed with breast cancer today now survive their disease beyond 20 years.

The Pink Ream campaign was launched in Europe in 2017 with distinctive, specially designed packaging for reams of HP Office paper. For each Pink Ream sold, International Paper donated £0.10 to UK programmes focusing on breast cancer research, awareness and prevention. The campaign was honoured as ‘Initiative of the Year’ at the European Office Products Awards the following year.

The HP Office Pink Ream will be available to consumers throughout October (worldwide Breast Cancer Awareness Month) and November. The money raised will support a variety of European breast cancer projects through Think Pink Europe.  In the UK, a percentage of funds raised will go to the Pink Ribbon Foundation.

International Paper proudly partner with Think Pink Europe alongside 25 further organisations who are part of the Think Pink Europe community.  All across Europe, local breast cancer organisations, hospitals, support groups and governmental organisations are aiming for the same objective: funding research and raising awareness to tackle breast cancer. Among the many activities supported by Think Pink Europe is the flagship initiative, The Race for the Cure®, the world's biggest walking and running event in the fight against breast cancer.

This year, with major sporting events being postponed or cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, www.raceforthecure.eu will go digital all over the continent in 34 countries. Continuing with Race for the Cure®, albeit in challenging circumstances, will provide a vital lifeline in helping breast cancer patients, healthcare workers and hospitals collect funds and continue to raise awareness.

International Paper has been manufacturing and marketing the HP Papers brand under exclusive licence since 2000. HP is synonymous with quality, reliable printing performance and innovative advances. The HP Papers portfolio of products offers the highest-quality results across a wide range of office applications.
