Get the most out of National Apprenticeship Week 2020 by joining us at the Antalis Academy and come away from the day with new fresh ideas and inspiring stories.

National Apprenticeship Week (NAW), which this year is running from 3-7 February 2020, is an annual week-long celebration of apprenticeships that brings the whole apprenticeship community together to celebrate the impact of apprenticeships on individuals, employers and the economy. This year it coincides with National Careers Week and we are keen to ensure that the print industry is flying the flag to students about the promising careers that are available in print.

We at the BPIF will be kicking things off on Tuesday 4 February by taking a group of our apprentices to visit the Antalis Academy. A centre of excellence for digital and printing technology, based at their head office in Leicestershire. It's a unique facility equipped with the latest digital kit offering live demonstrations and real life application case studies to help inform and educate.
Antalis are Europe's leading distributor of paper, packaging solutions and visual communications production for professionals. With a market leading range of over 14,000 products including papers, envelopes and consumables, as well as packaging, promotional and visual communication materials; and it's all backed up with a service that is second to none.

The event with the theme of sustainability, will run from 10.30am to 4.30pm, and to start things off apprentices will hear from speakers in the industry, such as Kelly O'Sullivan, from Sainsbury's/Argos, Jonathan Tame/Greg Selfe from Two Sides, and Neil Lovell from The Printing Charity.

The day will end with a round table discussion led by PrintWeek on the ‘future of apprenticeships' and ‘apprenticeships role in the sustainability of the industry.'

Testimonials from apprentices:
"I found the event very insightful and motivating. It was great to network and hear other people's stories about where they have gone in their careers; which has really boosted my confidence and given me some ideas for my future."

Amy Elrington, Sales & Marketing Coordinator, Webmart UK
The Printing Charity have kindly agreed to pay for all reasonable travel expenses.

It's set to be an inspiring and informative day, however places are limited, so if you have an apprentice or are an apprentice that would like to attend please email Sophie Chater at sophie.chater@bpif.org.uk
