BOSS Midlands Pop-Up Event – January 2026
The event was a complete sell-out, with quite literally standing room only which is a clear sign of the appetite within our region for insight, discussion, and shared learning.
Proceedings were opened by Alex Indunchy, who delivered a compelling and thought-provoking session covering all things websites; what truly makes a great site, how buying behaviour is changing, and the growing power of AI. Alex captivated the room from the outset, challenging thinking and encouraging everyone present to look differently at how they present themselves online and how technology can be used as a genuine commercial advantage.
Following a short hot buffet lunch, the baton was passed to Nigel Busby of ICM, who spoke on Fractional Marketing. Delivered with Nigel’s trademark honesty and wit, the session struck a chord across the room, prompting reflection, conversation, and no small amount of head-nodding. It was the perfect way to round off a thoroughly informative and engaging day.
What stood out most was the quality of people in the room. Great people from across our industry, openly sharing best practice, ideas and experiences, is exactly what the BOSS community is all about — and this event embodied that spirit perfectly.
If this was anything to go by, 2026 promises to be a strong year for BOSS Midlands.

Kiran Mistry (former MD of Colop) commented:
"Having returned to a BOSS Midlands Chapter event after an absence of around four years, I was genuinely impressed by what I experienced. The event felt vibrant, purposeful, and highly relevant, with a strong and well-balanced mix of dealers, suppliers and buying groups in the room.
What stood out most was the quality of engagement. Conversations were open, commercially meaningful and rooted in mutual respect — exactly what a strong industry network should foster. BOSS has always been about connection and collaboration, and it was clear that the Midlands Chapter has rediscovered real momentum and renewed energy.
That momentum is no accident. The leadership shown by James McKeever and the serving committee was evident in both the tone of the event and the calibre of attendance. There was a clear sense of purpose, inclusivity, and direction, which reflects thoughtful stewardship and a genuine commitment to building something of lasting value.
BOSS remains a genuinely valuable networking organisation, and based on what I saw, the Midlands Chapter is in excellent hands. I would wholeheartedly recommend attending to anyone looking to build meaningful relationships, stay connected to the industry, and be part of a professional community that is clearly moving in the right direction."
