The 2022 BOSS Charity Day Was A Hot One!

This year's annual BOSS Business Supplies Charity Day on 15th June at Belton Woods Hotel, Grantham, was a huge success, with over 80 golfers participating (mainly) in the heat of a bright Lincolnshire summer day, while 17 others chose to get warmer still indoors in the spa.

This year's annual BOSS Business Supplies Charity Day on 15th June at Belton Woods Hotel, Grantham, was a huge success, with over 80 golfers participating (mainly) in the heat of a bright Lincolnshire summer day, while 17 others chose to get warmer still indoors in the spa.

The day was rounded off by the event's traditional buffet dinner, raffle and auction, as well as the prize giving to the following industry golf champions:

• Team competition:

o Runner up: Rob Moore, Victor Stationery

Best of all, with some costs still to be accounted for, Charity Chair Martin Wilde announced that a scorching £16,000+ had been raised on the day. As Wilde commented, "Thanks to the amazing generosity of our sponsors - including our main event sponsor, EVO Group - our raffle and auction prize donors and our c110 attendees, we are very confident that this year's event has raised substantially more than even last year's Charity Day."

Indeed, as Wilde pointed out, this money is now needed more than ever: "With inflation at a record high, the cost of living is rising very significantly for the least well off in our society - exactly the people that the BOSS Business Supplies Charity is here to help. I've already had several of our beneficiaries writing to us explaining that their energy bills have substantially increased on those of previous years and asking if we can assist them. Thanks in part to the 2022 Charity Day, we can."

Next year's BBSC Charity Day has already been booked for 14th June 2023 at the same venue.

The BOSS Business Supplies Charity is a registered charity, established to provide for those needing financial assistance who have worked - or currently work - for at least two years in the stationery or office supplies and services industry. In 2021 it helped over 30 colleagues in need by supplying one-off and quarterly support payments of over £74,000, as well as COVID support payments and BOSS Future Fund Grants for those needing financial help to progress their careers. Around 40% of the money that the Charity gives away each year comes directly from fundraising activities, such as the Charity Day.
