Pharmacies are typically our first stop when facing any matter of minor health concern, and it is our pharmacists that we lean on for advice, guidance, and expertise. Over the past year, these pharmacists have become an even more critical resource in the NHS's efforts to support national health and wellbeing.

The overall objective of the 'Your Health Your Pharmacy' campaign is to encourage Brits to seek out this expert guidance in order to improve their overall wellness. For the summer and autumn months, the campaign's focus centres on managing the seasonal allergies and respiratory conditions that many battle with at this time of year. There is a bit of a trade-off between making the most of the longer days and nicer weather while suffering the sniffling, sneezing, runny-nosed consequences later on. Leitz's TruSens air purifiers help make it so sufferers don't have to worry about long days out resulting in a miserable night once back at home.

The TruSens range helps to provide relief while indoors by improving air quality. The range offers three unique HEPA filters that are specially designed to combat specific concerns such as pet dander, odour, allergy and flu. These filters are able to capture an impressive 99% of airborne viruses and allergens. Rather than recirculating these particles back into the air we breathe, TruSens's UV-C technology destroys them and pushes truly clean air back into the room. This helps to provide much needed relief for allergy sufferers, making it easier to carry on with their day-to-day activities, and helping to promote better wellbeing.

Air purification both complements and offers an alternative to one's go-to antihistamines for the relief of season allergy symptoms, yet is not an option one might immediately consider. That's where the advice and expertise of a pharmacist can really come in handy.

Speaking about Leitz's involvement in the NPA's 'Your Health Your Pharmacy' campaign, Elisabete Wells, Regional Marketing Director for ACCO UK, says:

"We are pleased to take part in the NPA's 'Your Health Your Pharmacy' campaign, and to help promote better wellbeing for our families, friends, colleagues, neighbours, and peers. Indoor air quality poses invisible but potentially harmful threats to health. We know that this time of year is especially difficult for sufferers of allergies, who may feel like there's no escaping their symptoms even while indoors. We're very lucky to have pharmacists to turn to, because they're experts who really understand the struggle and advise on the best options for relief. We hope that this campaign encourages more individuals to seek out that advice and have more of those conversations with their pharmacists. They just might end up finding relief from a source they wouldn't have otherwise thought of!"
