Asymptomatic testing plays a different, but crucial role in the fight against Covid-19 and businesses are now able to conduct ‘On-site testing’ to identify employees who unknowingly have the virus.

Testing kits will be available within government funding up until 31 March 2021, and those who are able to meet the set criteria may apply:

  • Companies with a minimum 50 employees within the workplace
  • Employee testing is for those who cannot work from home
  • Company must be registered in England (there are separate pilots which will be run in Wales and Northern Ireland)

Government links and steps to order Covid-19 lateral flow tests for your workplace are included in the Guidance our partners BPIF have put together below.

If you apply and are accepted, you’ll be taken through the Government led platform which has a wealth of webinars and documented guidance, instruction and appropriate training to ensure the on-site testing operation is conducted safely and accurately.

The scheme is being reviewed on a daily basis with a view to open up similar programmes for companies with less than 50 employees; for mobile workers; home workers etc.

Please scroll below to download the Guidance document put together by our partner BPIF – including an explanation of the technology behind asymptomatic testing, and the role these tests may play in the national Covid-19 testing programme.
