Keeping Hearts Beating

Keeping Hearts Beating has been brought to life by members of the business products community to try and improve survival rates of UK out of hospital Cardiac arrests.

Currently in the UK 94% of patients don't survive - this is only 40% in Denmark due to confidence in CPR and access to defibrillators. Sadly in the UK, due to a lack of confidence, only a third of people who witness a stranger having a cardiac arrest even help to administer CPR.

Keeping Hearts beating is pulling together all of the best resources and support to help the industry roll out 24/7 external, public access, defibrillators and awareness of CPR at the lowest possible cost. At the same time they have created a model for those businesses and individuals that execute this program to engage deeply in their community with customers and prospects in order to gain greater awareness, multiply the benefit of the program and ultimately support greater traction within their communities.

This program has been supported by BOSS and the BOSS Business Supplies Charity in order to help those businesses that want to engage - some of this grant support is still available.

The Keeping Hearts Beating team will be at the BOSS events across 2020 to create greater awareness and also to demonstrate how to use a defibrillator and how to administer CPR.
